CAMIKARA: Agricole Style Rum

Camikara – Revolutionizing the Indian rum industry with a new category of pure cane juice rum, a departure from the common practice of using molasses or by-products of sugarcane.
India, the world’s largest sugarcane producer, has never created a quality, luxury rum. Although there have been several brands available in the Indian market, they have always been at the entry level. A premium category rum capable of competing on a worldwide platform and making India proud has never been researched.
Derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘liquid gold’, Camikara, India’s first pure cane juice rum, is carefully crafted and matured in American oak barrels. This exceptional rum undergoes an extensive aging process of 8 long years in the sub-tropical Indian climate with an average angel share of 10%.

Inspired by the age-old practice of distilling cane juice to create the local brew called Laahan in Punjab, Camikara pays homage to the Indian farmers who have dedicated centuries to growing and distilling sugarcane. It is reviving the nation’s rum legacy with premium offerings resulting in a remarkable celebration of the land, time, culture, and people. Camikara was born for two reasons: to rediscover the past; and to pave the way for the future.
Bottled at 42.8% ABV, Camikara stands as a testament to purity, as it contains no added flavors, colors, spices, or sweeteners. It is a 100% natural sipping rum, allowing the true essence of the cane juice to shine through. The 8 YO expression won a Gold Medal at The Global Rum & Cachaca Masters 2024.

Tak to je paráda. Krásný čistý rum bez přídavku cukru a jiných přísad. Velké překvapení z Indie. Zatim jeden z nejlepších vzorků v letošním kaledáři.

Je n’ai pas du tout apprécié ce rhum, pour moi il a un goût d’alcool frelaté.
